Who you're buying from

Andra Liv Bokbinderi, a one-person bookbinding workshop in Sweden, trading at andralivbokbinderi.se. All correspondence goes through the contact page; messages are answered from a real address you can reply to.

What's for sale

Hand-sewn notebooks, either case bound into a reclaimed book cover or coptic-stitched into a cover I make myself. Every piece with a reclaimed cover is unique - the photographs show the actual notebook you receive, not a sample of a batch. Once it sells it leaves the catalogue, because there isn't a second one.

Commissions aren't taken at the moment. What's in the catalogue is what's available.

Prices

All prices are in Swedish kronor (SEK) and are the final price for the item. Any figure shown in euros is a conversion for reference only; the charge is always in kronor. From 1 200 SEK postage within Europe is included, so the price on the listing is the whole amount. Below that threshold, postage is 89 SEK in Sweden and 229 SEK elsewhere in Europe, shown separately before you pay. Either way the total is on screen before anything is charged.

Prices change over time. The price that applies is the one shown when you order.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page and never pass through this site, which has no access to them at any point.

A notebook is held for you for 30 minutes while you're paying. If the payment isn't completed it goes back on sale - with single pieces, holding them longer would mean telling everyone else it's gone when it isn't.

When the order exists

Your order is binding once the payment goes through and you receive a confirmation by email. If a payment arrives for a piece that has just sold - rare, but possible - the order is cancelled and refunded in full.

Delivery

Three working days to prepare and post, plus transit. Zones, prices and times are on the Shipping & delivery page.

Changing your mind, and faults

You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and three years to complain about a fault. Both are set out on Returns & exchanges, including who pays return postage.

Your data

Only what's needed to take the order and post the parcel. See the Privacy notice.

Law and disputes

Swedish law applies, and buying as a consumer from another EU country doesn't take away the consumer protections of your own country. Disputes can go to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), whose decisions are followed here, or to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. Free advice is available from Hallå konsument.
